Trout Fishin'

So today Phil and I went trout fishing in the GA mountains and we caught a record amount of fish! We all limited out in a few hours (me, Phil, and phil's parents). It was a really fun day and I also got a free dinner out of it. The last few pictures of are me going underwater in the cold creek for 20 seconds, if I did it I got Stoney River for dinner tonight! Well off to Stoney River I go ;)
Here are a few of my favorites from today :

Teasers!

So these teasers from our awesome awesome photographers totally made my day. I'm lucky its the end of the work day because I can't stop looking at them! I'm so excited for next thursday when I'll have all of them in my hands :) Looking at them just makes me remember how fabulous our wedding day really was and I wouldn't of changed a thing!

Let the fun begin!

I can hardly believe today is 4 weeks since our wedding ... where has the time gone! Hopefully next week I'll be sorting through all of our wedding pictures ... yay! Until then this weekend should be lots of fun. Tomorrow Phil and I are headed to the mountains to go fishing, it's been a while since we've been and I hope I can remember how to "throw my line". I'll catch my one or two fishes and be done and let Phil catch the rest. I know thats why he brings me along so he can catch the limit for two people. I enjoy the ride up there and being in the peacefulness of the creek, just hope its not freeeezing!
Saturday my parents fly in and we've got the Keith Urban concert that night, so I'm sure with all the fun planned this weekend will just fly bye!

Blast from the past ...

Monday morning again, the weekends just go bye to fast. I know this coming weekend will also be a quick one since my parents are coming in to town! I'm so excited they are coming, and we also get to go to a Keith Urban Concert so that will be a lot of fun too.

Phil and I had fun this past weekend hanging out at the lake with our friends Matt & David Cooper and another long lost college friend who came up to visit from Daytona. I think everyone had a good time and it's always nice to catch up with old friends ... especially the ones where you've had some really crazy times with!

It's always nice to "go back in time", although I can't believe its really been 6 years since I was just starting out college, it still feels like only yesterday.

So this week should be a quick one, I'm taking off Friday to go fishing with Phil and then Monday to take my parents to the airport. I'm really looking forward to there visit (as always) but I know I'll be sad when they have to go ... so I'll enjoy our short time together. Hopefully one day we'll live close enough where we won't have to use an airplane to see each other.

I want my Thank you Cards!

I've always been big with Thank you notes/cards, so when my wedding was done and we had gotten gifts I knew Thank you notes were a must! I made a really nice collage thank you card on shutterfly.com. I had them "rushed" and paid extra for shipping so I could start on them right away. Unfortunately I under-estimated how many people I had to send them too, so a few did not get done. I quickly ordered an additional 10 cards online last week. My confirmation email said I was supposed to get them between 6-14 & 6-19 (today) .. but I didn't! I called Shutterfly customer service and they re-issued my order at no extra cost to me to which I should get this batch next week (I love Shutterfly).
Here are my spectacular Thank you cards from Shutterfly:

Happy Birthday DAD!

Just had to say Happy Birthday to my double-o-daddio today! I was sad this morning when I thought about him and knew I wasn't going home to give him a big hug and enjoy a nice piece of cake for his birthday. (one of the disadvantages of living in GA. Anyways I hear he had a nice day and is enjoying his super big gaming computer monitor :) Happy Birthday to the best dad in the whole world!!! Love you dad and miss you always ...

Tennis Aces

Today Phil and I had another mixed doubles match. We played for this team in the winter and were undefeated. Of course we weren't playing in the "correct division" but for only playing once a week (when we played the match every Sunday) it was fun for us. This was our first match of the summer league and since the rain decided to come everyday at 5 pm this week we really only had a good hour of hitting under us from the past month. Today was a struggle, but we won 6-3, 6-2. We both thought we played horrible, but as soon as we walked off the court everyone said "you guys played amazing". It's always nice to know that even when we think we played terrible we're still "amazing" in other people's eyes. Of course Phil and I are our toughest critics since we know how good we USED to be. Sure we're better than most people in these mixed doubles leagues, but the thing is we used to be GREAT! Then again when we were great we were able to play 3-4 hours each day with other competitive people ... now we just have to hit with each other and well hope we don't have a "tennis divorce" (as our mixed doubles captain says). Here are some pics of us in our "glory days" ...

Our wedding day ...

In one word ... amazing! Phil and I woke up early Thursday morning, and we both agreed we were "nervous like before a big tennis match". When the lady came to do my hair then Phil went to his parent's room to get ready. From then on it was anticipation ... our photographers came (the incredible Ray & Erica of 35 Atlanta), then my parents and then it was time. My dad and I headed down to the beach, and then when the 1st CD player wouldn't play our song we stood up on the hill waiting for it all to get organized. I was glad to have my dad with me to make laugh and relax and joke about falling face first in the sand.

The ceremony was beautiful (of course I wrote it!) and my favorite part was our vows. From the moment we got engaged I knew writing our own vows would be so special and it was. The words my husband spoke to me that day were so wonderful and perfect. I'm glad I was able to say mine between all the tears.

Before I knew it I heard "you may kiss the bride" and it was over in a flash. We took pictures by the beach and then headed to take a ferry to an outer cay called Guana Cay. The beach there was amazing and I can't wait to see our proffessional pictures. Phil and I only hope we're not squinting in all of them since the white sand and sun made it hard at times to see! It truly was one of the best days of my life and I wouldn't of changed a thing!
