After Surgery ... :(

Gardner-Webb had there first tennis match at GA Tech this past Sunday. We got a group of friends together and headed out to the match. I def. thought they would be playing indoors but of course since it was 55 degrees they decided to play outside and let there fans freeze!!! G-dubb played well and fought hard but lost the match. It was fun to catch up with Aaron and Mike (who drove up all the way from Jacksonville for the weekend).

This weekend we got MORE snow on Saturday. Normally I would be thrilled because as mentioned before I LOVE the snow. But Saturday I had movie tickets and a date to meet my best friend Amber in Anderson, SC to see the movie 27 Dresses. Because everyone was calling for snow, sleet, and ice we cancelled. Even though its mostly highway on the drive, it probably wouldn't of been the smartest thing to be driving all over. The snow started around 9 and didn't stop until late that night. We got about 1 1/2 - 2 inches I think. Levi had fun in it again! This time he was an expert ;) It was FREEZING on Sunday, I think with the windchill it was about 2 degrees, and our thermostat said 15 degrees when Phil woke up to take Levi out. I def. owe him on that one, since I'm supposed to take him out on the weekends! We took Levi over to Petsmart to get him some food, a new toy, and to see how much he weighed. Phil guessed 30, I guessed 35 and he weighed .... 38 POUNDS! whoa ... he's getting so big! He had a blast in Petsmart, just like a kid in a candy store. We got him a lips toy, a rope for him and arnold, and then a frisbee. We already tested out the frisbee and he jumps WAY to early, but maybe one day he'll get his timing right. It was a fun weekend, even though we had to basically stay inside for the most part on Saturday. I was sad that the packers lost, I thought maybe Farve had another Superbowl in him ... too bad. But I think the Patriots would of probably beaten either team, and its pretty cool they could possibly finish undefeated - that would be one for the record books. My last week of work has been pretty slow and its still really cold outside. I'm looking forward to getting the house cleaned up really good next week and organizing some closets. My mom sent me a new vacuum that I am anxiously waiting for its arrival too :)

5. I hated that hill, but it made me faster and I'm grateful to the hill & my dad.
6. My mom used to make me run as exercise when I was younger, as soon as I would go around the corner to our house I would either walk or sit down and wait until I "jogged" to the mile mark. I hated running!
7. I ran cross country in high school and loved it.
8. I love running now, but mostly because I know its good exercise for me.
9. My dad's philosophy on exercises and food = If you exercise you can eat whatever you want. And I often tell myself that to force myself to run on cold days.
10. On a school project, I once spelled genes, like "jeans" ... my grandma got a kick out of that.
11. I went undefeated for two years in high school tennis (and won 2 state titles), quite an accomplishment when I look back on it.
12. When I was younger my parents had me chose between soccer and tennis and to focus on one sport and try to get a college scholarship.
13. I focused on tennis and got a college scholarship.
14. My freshman year of college was some of the best and worst times of my life.
15. Best times because I had so many friends and we had so much fun.
16. Worst times because I hated my tennis coach, my grades were terrible, too cold, too homesick and I almost transferred.
17. I'm glad I didn't transfer because I had a blast in college for the next 3 years.
18. I rolled my ankles in tennis more times than I care to remember, I've been ankle roll-free ever since I stopped playing college tennis.
19. I miss playing competitive tennis.
20. I'm grateful to my former college tennis coach for believing in me and giving me back the confidence I lost my freshman year.
21. My three very best "girl" friends live in North Carolina.

22. My former team-mates and college friends still make me laugh hysterically.
23. Whenever we get together we always talk about "old times" and tennis trips.
24. One of my most favorite memories was doing a judo move (my dad taught me) on Lisa while waiting for a match to start in college.
25. I flipped her on her back in front of everyone ... no one ever tried to mess with me again. hahaha...
26. I'm glad I was apart of the people and teams that were @ GWU when I was there, I don't think I would of had as much fun on later teams.
27. All through our time dating Phil said he hated cats.
28. When he saw Safin for the first time he changed it to "I like kittens", now I think he loves that cat more than I do.
29. He also said he hated Japanese food ... now we eat it or make it once a week.
30. I always knew I could never date or marry a guy who didn't like Burger King. Lucky for me Phil loves it too :)
31. Phil and I are undefeated in doubles in Atlanta leagues.
32. I even said that in my wedding vows, along with Phil being my personal chef.
33. Our wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life.
34. I wish my grandma could of been there, but then I know she really was with all of us.
35. I still miss my grandma everyday and feel "robbed" she was taken from us so early.
36. I enjoy my grandpa's company more ever since he moved in with my parents.
37. I miss my horse Dusty more now that he's gone.
38. I wish I would of rode him more while he was alive.
39. He's the only horse I could ride that I knew he wouldn't throw me off or run away with me.
40. I grew up with cats, dogs, and a horse.
41. Now I have a cat and a dog ... but no horse :)

48. I'm glad we're waiting 5 years to have kids, having a puppy is enough responsibility!

54. Scrapbooking and painting are my outlets.
55. I love pictures and taking pictures.
56. My new camera is awesome, and I still have so much to figure out on it.
57. I think Phil has the best proposal story I've ever heard.
58. Weeks before he had planned to propose I thought of his idea myself.
59. Little did I know he had been planning for months that he would propose with a scrapbook, but he played it off so well I didn't think twice about it.
60. I secretly wish to be on the amazing race.
61. I think the only two people I could be on the race with are either my dad or my brother.
62. My dad because he's just like me and he's excellent with directions. Also he has such a unique name I think we might get picked just for that.
63. My brother because he's just as competitive as me and I really don't think we'd fight any more than a normal brother/sister would.
