Feeling Tropical ...

Maybe it's because we just spent 2 lovely weeks in the warmth of south Florida or maybe its because the HGTV Dream Home was airing on TV last night ... but today I just felt tropical. If I knew Phil and I were going to live in our townhome forever ... like 10-15 years then I think we def. would of painted it by now. But because we hope to move into a home someday and sell our townhome then we'll keep it "neutral". I scanned the HGTV website for pictures of the dream house (in Islamadora Florida Keys). It screams tropical!! I love the blues, greens, and creams. I don't think I would use as "bright" of a green as they have, but still it looks awesome! I also found myself enjoying the vibrant living room coral color, I'm not sure Phil would be up to having a "pink" couch ... but still, its growing on me. I thought I would put these pictures on my blog for safe keeping. So one day when we're struggling to find pictures and ideas of what colors to paint then we'll have some kind of inspiration! Above is the HGTV dream house and below is my "dream house". Phil and I passed by this new neighborhood in Florida - all "key west" style homes! Love! Although we didn't get to look inside, it really looked like a nice cute little neighborhood.

This coffee table is in the HGTV dream home entertainment room .. and its really beachy! So I went to Sherman Williams website to see if they had paint colors ... duh!!! Of course and to find out they also provided all the paint for the dream house!!! wierd!! Anyways they even list what exact colors they used ... I thought that was so cool!
They also have a color coordinator with every paint name and then on the bottom left it gives "coordinating colors" ... maybe one day in our own home I can pretend to be an interior designer ...
