Waggy World ...

One of the things I love about the area we live in and also love about our life (with dog) is that Phil and I have found every single park in a fifteen minute radius of our house. When we first lived here we found two greenways to ride our bikes. Then once we got Levi we started finding more parks to walk him on the weekends. There are two smaller parks that we wouldn't go to ride bikes but they are small and perfect for walking Levi and also have some soccer fields or grassy areas to run around off the leash. We recently discovered Wils park in Alpharetta. Phil went there with Levi in December while I was in West Palm to watch an agility competition. They have a full equestrian center as well as atheltic fields and an off the leash dog park. We took Levi there on Saturday to see what it was all about. He gets so excited on the weekends because he knows we take him somewhere fun, and Saturday was no different. The dog park (Waggy World) is divided into two sections ... big dogs and small dogs. There were a few puppies in the big dog pen and the small dogs were a little too small for levi. He was a little overwhelmed at first and ran around, sometimes hiding under the bench that Phil and I were sitting on. Overall I think he had a great time ... and he got totally filthy! He was covered in black dirt from all the running and rolling he did. One of the fellow dog owners at the park tipped us off to a place called "That Dirty Dog", a grooming place where either you payed to wash your dog or you payed them. It was really a nice place and a great concept. They had caged in elevated tubs so you could tie up your dog in the tub and also you didn't have to bend over and break your back. You used there soap, shampoo, towels, and could even pay a little extra for a blow dry. Levi was so filthy that Phil and I just handed him over, plus he hates baths so much that paying someone else to do was totally worth it to us! So we went and had a nice lunch while Levi got his full service bath. He came out looking so clean and smelling great! Here are a few pictures I snapped of him having a blast at Waggy World ...

Hey you're a little puppy like me ...
