Blogging from Atlanta ...
Blogging from Atlanta this weekend. I decided to come up Friday and spend the weekend with Phil. His grandma hadn't been doing good, and although we all hoped for the best it appeared that it wouldn't be much longer. She sadly passed away this weekend and today we are off to the visitation. She was a wonderful person and really welcomed me into the family.

On another sad note, my uncle kerry sadly passed away last week. He was also a great person and will be sadly missed. I felt especially sad for his oldest son Matt who is my age. I couldn't imagine losing either of my parents at this stage in my life. The funeral was sad but it was also nice to reconnect with family. Every single cousin, aunt, and uncle came, and on such short notice. It was a really thing and I think uncle kerry would of been happy to see how many people came to celebrate his life.

So the past two weekends have been sad times and funerals. I hope that the rest of the year will be filled with some happier times.

Levi Overload
I'm not sure exactly what or who I would blog about if I didn't have Levi. My life right now is not all that exciting. Monday-Friday I go to work and then if Phil's not visiting or I'm not in Atlanta then I'm just hanging out with my mom and dad. So thank goodness for Levi to fill the posts on my blog. He may not be the greatest running dog in the world but he is hands down my most favorite "dog model" and he's damn good at it! I think by now he knows what I'm doing when I'm in front of the camera, and unlike the other dogs when I crouch down to his level he sits and looks at me instead of running towards me to lick my face. He's so freaking cute I could take pictures of him all day ... and sometimes I do :)Baby Steps ...
Ever since his first bath as a puppy, Phil and I have known that Levi hates water and hates being wet! Not really a good combination for hot south florida summers! Slowly but surely he is learning to like water. He now runs into the ocean without us having to drag him and he'll stand on this first step in the pool. He's very cautious and sometimes just puts two feet in. Over the summer we'll teach him how to swim and hopefully he'll change his water-fearing ways :)

Phil's Birthday!
Ok so a week late but oh well :) Last Saturday was Phil's 26th birthday! I flew up to Atlanta for the weekend and we enjoyed a lazy rainy Saturday. We met up with phil's parents for a dinner at our local steakhouse, Stoney River. It was delicious and at the end I managed to surprise Phil with the most awesome UGA football stadium cake! I didn't mean for them to put ALL of the candles on the cake but oh well ... so it approached our table like a raging ball of fire. The cake was awesome and the look on Phil's face was all worth it for me. I'm so glad after all these years I finally got to surprise him with something!!!Thursday, April 3, 2008
After a frusterating day of work ...
Follow the following steps:
1. On your drive home call your husband and have an all out bitch fest. Thankfully for me my husband is a man of very few words which makes him an incredible listener ... its almost like talking to myself ... juuuust kidding :)
2. Stuff your face full of CR Chicks ... yum chicken, pasta, salad, AND coleslaw ... oink oink
3. Play frisbee with your puppy
4. Eat the remaining maple goodies in the pantry. Good thing there is not much chocolate on hand or I'm afraid it would of gotten ugly tonight.
5. Take a nice hot bath which I am about to do :)
6. Pack your bags for a fun weekend away with your husband and tell yourself ... only one more day! And at least its not even a full day :)
whew ... ultra-frustrating day today but what are you going to do. I know these days are going to happen but lets just hope they are going to be few and far between. Work is not my life and my work does not define me as a person. I do my job from 8-5 or 7-5 or whatever and then its done, I go home and don't think about it until my alarm clock goes off the next morning. And thats exactly what I'm gonna do!
