Beach Day ... 1st wide angle lens post :)

Phil got me 2 lens for my camera for my birthday. A wide angle and a tele-lens, I've been wanting to test them out but we had to wait a few more days for the adapter to get here. Well it's here and today was the perfect day to try the wide angle out! I LOVE IT! I love that it takes some different angles and how I don't have to be so far away to catch "the whole picture" I was literally right next to phil and levi and they appear smaller in the lens and capture everything ... wide angle. I can't wait for the Keys next weekend to try it out some more :)

Melting Pot

Saturday night Phil and I ventured down to Boca Raton to meet my friend (and only co-worker) Jess with her husband to dine at the Melting Pot. None of us had been before and we thought it would be fun to try. The Melting Pot in Lake Worth (which would have been half way) only had a reservation at 9 pm, so we said its fine we'll come to Boca. It was a really long dinner, but it was fun. You started with cheese dip, then salads, then the meats, and then the chocolate dip for desert. It was tough to figure out the frying of the foods, but Phil had a great system going and I tried to keep up :) We then ventured to a local sportbar and had a drink and watched some of the fights on TV, and then made the drive back. It was a nice night and fun to go out with some new friends.
This is what happened when I said okay give me your best I'm doing fondue face :) haha

Birthday Dinner at Benihana

For my official birthday dinner we ventured to Stuart to the closest Japanese Benihana place! I really love it since its the one we always go to on birthdays, and I LOVE the food! I miss living across the street from a Japanese place ... Kani House :( It was a fun dinner, a good show, and awesome food ... the end of my birthday week!!

Let me tell you bout my Best Friend ...

Have you ever heard that song before? You know the one that comes on during sitcoms or that part in the movie where they play flashbacks of sharing an ice cream cone and having a blast with you "best friend". Well my dog has a best friend ... Arnold! We were neighbors in Atlanta and the played everyday! From the weekend we first brought Levi home he has loved Arnold! I remember when he was 5 pounds and Arnold was 50 and he would just jump over him in the backyard and play for hours. That was one thing that was hard to leave about our neighborhood in Atlanta, but Levi has a big backyard here in Florida which he loves. So when Cathy and Dave (Arnold's "parents") told us they'd be in South Florida in July we made plans for a sleep over. Yes a doggy sleepover! So Arnold came over on Wednesday night and the "adults" went to dinner. Then Dave brought back Arnold Friday night for a sleep over. I have no idea what they did all day, but I know one thing they did not do and that was sleep. Just like kids who have a sleepover and stay up all night ... so did they! We took Arnold back up to Jupiter with Levi early the next morning and they both were practically falling asleep in the back seat. That is until we got to Dave's parents condo and let them run free in the Intercoastal! Levi had a blast being able to walk into the water and not having to deal with waves. Arnold is much taller than him so when he followed him into the deep he did have to swim but he had a blast ... and then he slept for 2 days straight.

Happy Birthday to me :)

Thank you to Everyone who made my birthday special :) Mom & Dad, Phil, Pat - Thanks for all the great gifts and brownies :)

Today was a low key birthday since its Thursday! Had to work all day, but I got a nice birthday lunch from work, a big cake with loads of candles, and some presents too! Then I got my presents from Pat and my parents. Came home, took a run, then Phil and I went off to my 1st kickball game. We won so badly I didn't even get to kick!! A little pissed off about that one, but I wasn't on the team last year so I went to the bottom of the lineup. Next week I guess. Then came home and got to open Phil's presents ... some new lens for my camera :) I got some new clothes and some sandals from my parents and some cool outdoor speakers from my brother. Along with a cushion for your laptop :) Leave it to my cooler more technological younger brother to keep me up to date on electronics!

So all in all a nice birthday! I'm 25 ... wow ... feels like just yesterday I was turning 18 and heading off to college. I got nice birthday calls from my friends Amber, Brandy, Carissa, and Blair so thank you to all of them =) I love it when my friends #1 remember my birthday and #2 take the time out of there busy days to call me :) I'm so lucky to have a wonderful husband (who brought me flowers), great parents (dad also got me flowers), a cool brother, and amazing friends. We'll be having my birthday dinner Saturday at Benihana ... yum ... can't wait for some HIBACHI :)

Levi's Birthday Party :)

Happy Birthday Levi!!!

Today is my little Levi's 1st Birthday!! I can't believe how fast a year has gone bye and how he went from this (above) to this (below)! He was the cutest puppy I had ever seen and he still is a pretty good looking dog. Puppyhood was tough as Levi was a pee-machine. I do NOT miss cleaning up pee-pee pads everyday several times a day. He def. is a lot happier having a really big yard to run around in too. Happy Birthday Levi :)
