Duck Key Weekend Getaway

Phil and I took a weekend trip last weekend to Duck Key in the Florida Keys. We stayed at a really nice resort and had fun exploring the small island. Friday on our drive down ended up being a pretty rainy day but we did manage to grab some lunch at our favorite keys lunch place, keys fisheries and play some putt putt on the resort, though the course was not in its best form. Saturday we rented bikes and explored the island checking out the houses, the 30 mile wind gusts weren't too fun but it was nice to get out and ride around. We ate some sandwhiches on our deck and then headed down to key west for some shopping on Duval Street. We ended the day in Key West watching the sun set and dinner at Benihana's (which was a treat because we hardly ever get to eat Hibachi anymore). Sunday we drove back and made a pit stop at the Ikea in Fort Lauderdale and got some goodies for our house (pictures of that to come soon). Oh yeah and I might of whooped Phil on some putt putt Saturday night ... with a scorecard to prove it. What can I say, I rock at putt putt :) However, it's a good thing we don't have a good putt putt in West Palm or we'd be going daily until phil regained his title. hahaha jk ... maybe.
